莱斯特又不见了个美女

一月二十七日，本大学的毕业典礼。目睹两个好朋友悄悄地走了上台，跟新上任的Chancellor，Sir Peter Williams，握手。然后转身就下了台上的那几个梯级。一年，三年，四年的努力就这样子过去了。就是为了握那只手，拿那张纸。它有个特别的名字：“文”、“凭”。我到底需要多少张呢？我到底应该拿多少张呢？可以拿多少张呢？哪来那么多钱读书？希望我将会得到的那一张暂时会够用。以后可能可以读个硕士回来。。。看着办吧。PhD如果有人肯赞助，who knows?

一月二十八日，慧慧大清早就搭车到机场去了。本来想送她的，可惜起不来（烂理由！）。感谢她当时帮了我的大忙（七月，我赶着回家那时），她那潇洒的一副脸，时常让我开她的玩笑。。。还有我们之间的交流，那时她打来跟我喊“救命”！记得某晚我本来只是把一件东西转交给她，最后我们在B楼底下*聊了几个小时。本来想在她走前再跟她聊多一些，但是可惜时间不留人。后会有期吧！祝你事业成功、身体健康、工作一帆风顺。而我呢，会真真诚诚地做个古代人。

美女不见了，还是把目光转回邓卉吧！（卉：不要打人哦！）嘿嘿。。。

Just weird what's happening these days. I think the snake was hungry and decided to swallow the alligator one fine day (but it could be night). Unfortunately the alligator was bueh-song and got the last laugh (assuming it was still alive) when it farted so hard the snake's stomach was blown open. Wait. But that wouldn't explain the missing snake head.

I haven't posted anything for a few days, and in that time my examinations have finished, All-England has ended, and lessons have restarted already.

First up, Badminton news: 3 out of 4 semifinalists in the men's doubles were Malaysian, and Lee Chong Wei's tense three-setter with Lin Dan (9-15,15-10,14-17) was about the closest you would ever get to a final, and as I expected, Lee Hyun-Il was no match for Lin Dan in the final, losing a tame 7-15, 7-15. So I got to watch 7 Malaysians in action in one day. But only Choon Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah progressed with an easy 15-7,15-8 victory over back-up teammates Fairuzizuan-Woon Fui. We almost had another upset when Zakry Latif-Teik Chai led Jens Eriksen-Martin Lungaard Hansen 14-5 only to cave in to the pressure and surrender the first set 14-17. They lost the second, at 9, but it was still a job well done for another junior pair playing over expectations.

After that we had wat tan hor and fook kin min (Malaysian style!) at a restaurant in Birmingham. I must say the hor fun was of a good enough standard! Been ages since I last had that (not even last summer I think). But Hokkein Mee was quite lousy.

Timetable this semester is good with only 8 lectures a week. Which reminds me, I have a project interim report to hand up on Friday.

Power Electronics was ok... so was Management B. Digital Control was quite a bad paper though, hoping it won't pull down my marks all that much... Radio Systems turned out quite well too. Now I have 2 days to study for the Electronics paper on Sat morning and off I will go to Birmingham immediately after for the All-England semifinals.

Former winner, "all time great*" Hafiz Hashim lost in the 1st round to former World Junior Champion and last week's German Open winner Chen Jin, while the rest of the Malaysians won in straight games.

And it seems Penang's rate is only RM100.. I am glad I took mine in JB and not KL which has very high "rates" and which also may mean that if you don't pay the 'assurance fee' you might not pass since there are others who paid may therefore be passed first!

And for those still blur, I didn't pay the "extra" when I passed!

He is quite a humorous guy, having read through more of the stuff on his page (eg this). It does appear that Uni of Bradford does have some powerful people hidden over there!!!

After spending 2 and a half days on the stupid code, I realised I made a mistake with the initialisations. This one is a major major error. And a bracketing mistake which made the order of calculations slightly wrong, resulting in 2 of the 7 outputs being incorrect................

Grrrrr...

Now for Radio lab and exams........................

WEIRD TAG GAME
Well, I got this from Cyn meimei, at the worst possible time... grrrr but I shall be a nice korkor.....

1. If I daydream and have nothing impt on my mind half the time it's about playing badminton (but now it's the stupid Matlab program that I am writing!! All the time!!)
2. I can talk about very gross things and piss people off! Ha!
3. My hands and feet are normally colder to the touch than other people's, but I can survive the cold with less layers of clothes on than them!
4. I haven't touched a proper computer game in almost 2 years (for the unfinished FF8 installed in my comp, almost 3 years), and a PlayStation game since I-don't-remember-when.
5. I hold the record for "longest time in the toilet" since I read or fiddle with my phone while ahem.. "conducting my transactions"...

Exams in a week.

Leicester City 3, Tottenham Hotspurs 2, Walkers Stadium (FA Cup 3rd round). I didn't catch it but will be doing so if Leicester is drawn a home game with a premier league side in the next round!

Geraldine's early bdae surprise party organised by me. Yay.

Marathon badminton

Played with Roger-the-Dodger till kingdom come. Came. Whatever. We had 10 sets of singles, and played till all the feather shuttles died. Then we picked up a few from the ground and used them selectively for a few rallies before we finished 8 games, 4-4. The last 2 sets were played with plastics and it went one apiece so the total was 5-5, in 3.5 hours (with rest time included). But it was at most a 2, 3 mins break before the next set was started. I find that I need a bit of time to find my footing and normally am not able to get the first few points. I even had a 10-0 lead squandered by lousy badminton and concentration, much like Lin Dan in last year's Malaysian Open final loss to Lee Chong Wei (yay!)

Need much more consistency. I also realised that plastics actually felt very light to the touch after playing with those damned feathers.

After putting away the swathe of feathers and our final plastics, we proceeded to keep our rackets.

Then Roger found an extra small tube of feathers in his bag.

又呆了三天，无所事事的七十二小时。。。作业已经拖到快要无所补救的程度了，但我仿佛还活在无限的时间内！一共八样：五科考试、一个报告、一个作业，还有project。十天。这几天我必须完成project那部分，还有那则作业，并且把报告写完。计划在下星期开始温习考试科目。我要正明给我自己，我可以在无论几断的时间内完成我应该做好的事情。这学期非常重要，因为我必须把我的平均分数拉上一些，以免我project分数不到70而要靠最后一个学期考试来拉分。
我相信我做得到、并且可以在短暂的时间内完成。当然也讲究quality.分数要高过70！！
所以可能会少写一些。大家要加油，考个好成绩回来。。。

In one of my long-and-almost-forgotten debates I remember someone tried to strenuously overrule me on the topic of fertilisation of the ovum in hens. I said that the rooster did not have to be physically there prior to egg-laying to fertilise the egg as the hen could store sperms, but I did not get a single ounce of agreement or even respect from this person I won't even regard as a contemporary.

Ahh, it feels so good to be vindicated. That's one thing left over from last year I got done.
